Ledger Support Using the CLI

This section only applies to networks on which Keplr doesn't support Ledger and authz compatibility.

For Osmosis, Secret, Umee and networks that have Keplr support for Ledger and authz, see Ledger Support.

If you have access to and are comfortable with the Cosmos SDK Command Line Interface, you can manually authorize Yieldmos to auto-compound your staking rewards that are protected by a hardware wallet.

Instructions

  1. Find the Yieldmos GRANT_ADDRESS for the network on which you want to auto-compound your staking rewards. (Go to the FAQ: How do I know which addresses belong to Yieldmos?)

  2. Find an RPC_ENDPOINT in the Nodes tab and the CHAIN_ID in the Overview tab of the respective network in the Cosmos Directory. Note: You might need to adjust BINARY_NAME, LEDGER, FILE, uTOKEN and the fee amount.

  3. Authorize the following two authz grants to Yieldmos. This will enable Yieldmos to claim and delegate your staking rewards on your behalf. (Note: At no time will Yieldmos have custody of your assets; Yieldmos can only perform the specific actions you authorize.)

    • BINARY_NAME tx authz grant GRANT_ADDRESS generic --msg-type /cosmos.distribution.v1beta1.MsgWithdrawDelegatorReward --from LEDGER --ledger --chain-id CHAIN_ID --node RPC_ENDPOINT --keyring-backend FILE --gas auto --gas-prices 0.0250uTOKEN --gas-adjustment 1.5

    • BINARY_NAME tx authz grant GRANT_ADDRESS generic --msg-type /cosmos.staking.v1beta1.MsgDelegate --from LEDGER --ledger --chain-id CHAIN_ID --node RPC_ENDPOINT --keyring-backend FILE --gas auto --gas-prices 0.0250uTOKEN --gas-adjustment 1.5

  4. Send all of the following information to the Yieldmos team so that Yieldmos knows to auto-compound your rewards on your behalf (open a #help ticket on Discord, message one of the admins on Telegram, or send us a DM on Twitter):

    • The two transaction hashes,

    • Which validator(s) with which to compound your staking rewards,

    • Your desired allocation percentage to each validator,

    • What percentage of staking rewards you don't want compounded, if any.
